There's an unusual sound in the woodland at this time of year - but if you listen carefully you'll hear what sounds like a bird 'blowing bubbles'.
This is the song of the Nuthatch a sweet little bird with a peachy coloured breast which blends beautifully with its brown colouring.
You may also be lucky enough to see a Nuthatch in your own garden - it's fascinating to see them busy searching for food as they have a tendency to work their way down tree trunks head first.
There's more information about this unusual sounding bird on our birds page on this website.
So the next time you're in Monkmead Wood have a listen out for Bubble as well as Tweet!
